It’s not just brides that we have never met before asking us to design their dress, it’s family too!

We were approached by my god daughter after her fiancé proposed on an amazing holiday in 2014 in Bali where the elephant they were riding on, reached into the trees and picked out a tiny box, this had her engagement ring in it and the rest is history.

The wedding date was set for August 2015 and Victoria knew exactly the style of dress she wanted, she lives and works in Paris, two of her bridesmaids also dance with her at the Lido and the other two live in the South of England.

This was our biggest challenge to date and something that we had never done before, she sent over images of various dresses she liked and between the two of us we designed her dream dress. Once we had the basic design, Victoria flew over from Paris and had her first fitting, we then discussed the final details of the dress, showing her the fine French chiffon we found to cover her dress and the guipere lace we had put on the bodice, this would then be put on the neckline and the back once the dress fitted perfectly.

One of her bridemaid’s was able to come so acted as a model for the rest of them to see if the dresses Victoria had asked for were what she wanted, in a pretty blush pink jersey and chiffon with a diamante belt, the bride was happy with the overall look.

A month later the dresses were ready, 3 weeks before the wedding. She flew from Paris again, her sister travelled from the South of England and the final touches and fittings were complete within 4 hours with just enough time to drop her at the airport so she could return to Paris.

We have to say they all looked stunning on the day, all of the dresses fitted perfectly even without having had all of the bridesmaids in the shop.

Victoria and Jose got married in the South of France and are definitely a gorgeous couple, the images are stunning! The venue looked perfect and the sun shone, good luck to Jose and Victoria and we wish them a long and happy marriage.
